espanolEl perdon es tanto una decision personal como parte de un proceso de reconciliacion social. En ambos casos, dos ingredientes indispensables son el reconocimiento de la falta y el deseo de justicia, que permiten escribir una historia nueva y libre. Este articulo se concentra en tres ideas principales, que son: primero, la oposicion entre perdon y olvido; segundo, la importancia de la “memoria feliz” en los proceso de reconciliacion y paz social; y tercero, los peligros del “monopolio de la voz” para estos procesos de paz. EnglishForgiveness is both a personal decision as also part of social reconciliation processes. In both cases, the fault recognition and the will of justice are two essential elements which allow people and society to write a new ending for a story. This article focuses on three main ideas: first, the dfference between forgiveness and oblivion; second, the central role of the “happy memory” in reconciliation processes and civil peace construction; and third, the authoritarian word over public affairs risks.
