The purpose of this study is to preserve the old st reet culture of Jing tong, Taiwan. The illustration of this small town is made chronologically from Google historical photos of 2012 and 2015 to the current street scen es in 3D point cloud. The 3D scan data have been collected and car efully integrated for the most effective illustrati on of local cultures, such as railroads, lanterns, and wishing bamboo tub es. 3D scans were made by a Faro Focus 3D ® laser scanner. Experiencing and comparing old street and railroad scenes through the 3D scan data has led to the disc overy and illustration of a new fabric definition in terms of urban fixtures and the flexible part of the urban fabric.
