The objective of the present project was to carry out the production of face shields of individual protection shield type against Covid-19. The justification was to offer face-to-face masks to the public working in the Foz do Rio Itajaí region, free of charge, to reduce their chances of contracting the coronavirus. This demand was presented to IFSC, by the Integrated Risk and Disaster Management Center of the Itajaí Regional (CIGERD), at the beginning of the second quarter of 2020. As a working method, a similar analysis of face shield masks was made. Then, with the aid of 3D modeling software Solidworks, the mask designs were made, considering only a raw material and a manufacturing process. The masks were made in PET Cristal through the laser cutting process and are being delivered to CIGERD, which is donating to professionals working in the service of the public in the Foz do Rio Itajaí region.
