E feito o levantamento do genero Paracytheridea Muller, 1894 na regiao norte/nordeste da plataforma continental brasileira. Foram encontradas cinco especies, sendo tres especies novas: Paracytheridea inflata sp. nov., Paracytheridea reticulata sp. nov. e Paracytheridea spinosa sp. nov. O genero, na regiao estudada, concentra-se em sedimentos carbonaticos e as especies que integram esta associacao norte/nordeste tem uma distribuicao geografica que atinge a Lat. 15o13’S.
