トンネルその他の地 中掘削部 に作 用す る土圧 の解 明は 地下開発上 きわ めて重要 な課題 であ り,そ の理論的解 明 は今世 紀の初めか ら各国 の多 くの研 究者に よって取 り扱 われてきた。また トンネル土圧 の現 場測定 につ いて も近 年多大の努力がは らわれ るよ うにな ってその精度 も向上 しているが,実 際の トンネル設計 にはゆ るみ高 さな どの 経験公式 を適用 して外力 を推定 して い る の が 現状 であ る。 これは 自然物であ る地盤材料 の力学特性の複雑 さも さることなが ら,ト ンネル土圧 の真 の発生機構が適確 に 把握 されていない ことにも基 因 してい ると考 え られ る。 従来の この ような土圧現象 についてな された理論的 な 説明を便宜 上大 きく分類すれ ば,沈 下部 周辺地盤 に認 め られる土粒子 間の相対変位 の大 きい領 域での現象 を一 つ のすべ り現象 と考え種 々の形 のす べ り面 を仮定 しすべ り
