Synopsis: Ur to this time, we used to estimate the moisture conditions of paved subgrade by only empirical methods or theoretical ones containing incomplete assumptions. The author, who could not be satisfied with the old estimating methods, devised a new method which used many measurable boundary conditions, i. e, ground water level, width of pavement, moisture condition at pavement edges, and others. By applying this method to a real paved subgrade, the author knew that its estimating result could agree better with the real condition in paved subgrade than the results by old methods.
