Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the mediating effect of the self-control on the relationship between social support and school violence action of upper grade elementary school students. Method: 720 students(5-6 grade) at elementary school in J Province were asked to complete the social support scale, self-control scale and school violence scale on February, 2017. The collected 674 data were analyzed by using the correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis, and Sobel Test was performed to verify the mediating effect. Results: First, the results demonstrated a significant correlation between social support, self-control and school violence action. Second, social support and self-control influenced on the school violence action negatively. Finally, self-control had mediating effects on the relationship between social support and school violence action. Conclusion: To prevent school violence action of upper elementary school students, it is necessary to provide the program for improving self-control.
