Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the parenting experiences and perceptions for special education among multi-cultural parents of student with disabilities, and to suggest practical improvement plans. Method: 8 multi-cultural parents of students with disabilities participated in two focus group interviews. During the focus group interviews, common perceived experiences and practical improvement plans were discussed in depth. Results: The interview data were respectively analyzed resulting in 5 sub-themes in 3 themes(parenting experiences) and 8 sub-themes in 3 themes(perceptions for special education) according to research problems. Conclusion: Based on these findings, educational consumer-cantered supportive strategies were proposed in order to positively improve the parenting environment and special education services for multi-cultural parents of students with disabilities.
