Water footprint (PH) is an environmental indicator that measures direct and indirect water consumption to support the lifestyle of a person, region, nation, company or product. The aim of the study is to estimate the water footprint of the students of the UNEMAT Accounting Science Course of Tangará da Serra MT. It is a descriptive research with quantitative approach. The method used in the research was that of Chapagain and Hoekstra (2008), which consists of applying questionnaires with closed questions to calculate the individual Water Footprint, and then calculated using the water footprint calculator available on the Water Footprint Network website. The sample comprised the students who were in the classroom on 25 and 26/06/19 and 13/08/2019. The study showed that the water consumption by the students of the accounting course UNEMAT of Tangará da Serra MT is superior to all other studies identified in the survey, leveraged primarily by consumption of meat, cereals and household use. In general, females have higher PH in relation to males.
