EnglishAmong the leafy vegetables, lettuce is one of the most consumed in Brazil, being recommended the use of cultivars adapted to different climatic conditions. Therefore, this work had the objective to select lettuce genotypes of smooth leaves and tolerant to the early flowering. The experiment was carried out in the city of Itabaiana, State of Sergipe in experimental design of randomized blocks with three replications. Twelve genotypes were evaluated for fresh and dry weight of shoot, fresh and dry mass of root, mass and number of commercial and noncommercial leaves, head diameter and stem length. The genotype AFX005B-121-02, which has smooth leaves and is bolting tolerant, presented better agronomical and commercial performance, being promising for cultivation conditions in the Agreste region. portuguesDentre as hortalicas folhosas, a alface e uma hortalica folhosa bastante consumida no Brasil, sendo recomendado o uso de cultivares adaptadas as diferentes condicoes climaticas. Com isso, este trabalho teve como objetivo selecionar genotipos de alface de folhas lisas e tolerantes ao florescimento precoce. O experimento foi implantado no municipio de Itabaiana, Estado de Sergipe em blocos casualizados com tres repeticoes, sendo testados 12 genotipos, os quais foram avaliados quanto a massa fresca e seca da parte aerea, massa fresca e seca da raiz, massa de folhas comerciais e nao comerciais, numero de folhas comerciais e nao comerciais, diâmetro da cabeca e comprimento do caule. O genotipo AFX005B-121-02, que possui folhas lisas e e tolerante ao florescimento precoce, apresentou melhor desempenho comercial e agronomico, sendo promissor para plantio nas condicoes do Agreste.
