I ALWAYS CONSIDER introductions useless in any kind of literary endeavor (if we can, of course, talk of literary endeavor). The title alone will suffice to introduce everything that is about to happen. The only other thing I feel I should mention in the introduction is the fact that the boy will grow up, finish school, get drafted, then marry. So time will roll on. It's a pity. I hate time. It gobbles up everything alive. I don't want to consider the inanimate things. Let those who are paid to do so consider the inanimate. And something else, before I start.
