This research article aims to analyze the fundamentals of Latin American neo-structuralism related to development and economic integration in the region, since the early 1990s, in a context characterized by the deepening of globalization and the prominence of transnational corporations. This new vision of Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) marks similarities and differences with respect to its foundational ideas framed in structuralism. Among the contributions of neo-structuralism stands out the incorporation of the proposals on the productive transformation with equity, as well as the open regionalism and the new agenda for development in the region. However, structural problems have persisted in the countries of Latin America, leading to the questioning of their postulates as an alternative response to the problems of underdevelopment. Resumen Este articulo tiene como proposito analizar los fundamentos del neoestructuralismo latinoamericano relacionados con el desarrollo y la integracion economica, desde inicios de la decada de 1990, en un contexto caracterizado por la profundizacion de la globalizacion y el protagonismo de las corporaciones transnacionales. Esta nueva vision de la Comision Economomica para America Latina (CEPAL) marca semejanzas y diferencias con respecto a sus ideas fundacionales enmarcadas en el estructuralismo. Entre los aportes del neoestructuralismo destaca la incorporacion de los planteamientos sobre la transformacion productiva con equidad, asi como el regionalismo abierto y la nueva agenda para el desarrollo en la region. No obstante, han persistido los problemas estructurales en los paises de America Latina, conllevando al cuestionamiento de sus postulados como una respuesta alternativa a los problemas del subdesarrollo.
