The suspension of cells from monolayer cultures for manometric measurements provides a technical simplification and has therefore become a frequent manipulation in such studies. In the experiments described respiration, aerobic glycolysis and lifespan of the cells after their transition from the intact cell-layer to the suspension were studied.
