The vibration behaviour of the mono-, di- and trisubstituted pentaerythritol halides has been studied in the range between 4000 and 400 cm  -1 . By comparison with the spectra of pentaerythritol and the pentaerythritol tetrahalides it was possible to assign a great deal of the normal vibrations.
