Using solution-melt method two single crystals, (Ga70La30)(2)S-300, (Ga69.75La29.Er-75(0.5))(2)S-300, were grown. The maxima of the luminescent radiation in the photoluminescence spectrum of the (Ga70La30)(2)S-300, (Ga69.75La29.Er-75(0.5))(2)S-300 single crystal correspond to the intracentric transitions in the erbium ions: H-2(11/2) -> I-4(15/2) (525 nm) and S-4(3/2) -> I-4(15/2) (545 nm).
