We have implemented field models and performed a detailed numerical dosimetryinside our extremely-low-frequency electromagnetic bioreactor which has beensuccessfully used in $\textit{in vitro}$ Biotechnology and Tissue Engineeringresearches. The numerical dosimetry permitted to map the magnetic inductionfield (maximum module equal to about 3.3 mT) and to discuss its biologicaleffects in terms of induced electric currents and induced mechanical forces(compression and traction). So, in the frame of thetensegrity-mechanotransduction theory of Ingber, the study of theseelectromagnetically induced mechanical forces could be, in our opinion, apowerful tool to understand some effects of the electromagnetic stimulationwhose mechanisms remain still elusive.
