We generate the 2-dimensional high-resolution density field of galaxies ofthe Early Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and the Las CampanasRedshift Survey with a smoothing length 0.8 Mpc/h to extract clusters andgroups of galaxies, and a low-resolution field with a smoothing length 10 Mpc/hto extract superclusters of galaxies. We investigate properties of densityfield clusters and superclusters and compare the properties of these clustersand superclusters with those of Abell clusters, and superclusters found on thebasis of Abell clusters. We found that clusters in a high-density environmenthave a luminosity a factor of 5 - 10 higher than in a low-density environment.Clusters and superclusters in the Northern slice of SDSS are much richer thanthose in the Southern slice.
