We study the Chern-Simons approach to the topological quantum computing. Weuse quantum $\mathcal{R}$-matrices as universal quantum gates and study theapproximations of some one-qubit operations. We make some modifications to theknown Solovay-Kitaev algorithm suitable for our particular problem.
