In the title compound, [Ni(C 20 H 18 Br 2 N 2 O 2 )], the Ni II  ion is four-coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry defined by two N atoms and two O atoms of the tetradentate dianionic 4,4′-dibromo-2,2′-[cyclohexane-1,2-diylbis(nitrilomethanylylidene)]diphenolato ligand. Pairs of complex molecules are assembled by intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds with  d (C...O) = 3.247 (4) Å.
