Twelve treatments were applied to control the crawler stage on May 22'79. The pine planting was located at the Purdue University Agronomy Farm north of West Lafayette, Indiana. A plot consisted of a single pine tree 8-10 ft tall. Every other tree was treated to avoid spray drift. All treatments were foliar sprays applied with a Spartan sprayer operating at 125 psi. The experiment was repli-cated only twice because of the number of available infested trees. Three weeks post treatment the number of 2nd instar female scales were counted on a twenty needle sample from each tree. There was no evidence of phytotoxicity.
