Phytotoxicity trials were conducted on 5 tropical foliage crops commonly used in interiorscape plantings. These included: Aglaonema (A. commutatum cv. commutatum), Dieffenbachia (D. maculata cv. Perfection), Dracaena (D. marginata), Fiscus (F. benjamina) and Parlor palm (Chamaedorea elegans 'Bella'). Evaluations were made with a series of product concentrations applied repeatedly in both greenhouse and interiorscape environments. Greenhouse trials were treated at weekly intervals with a total of 6 applications and interiorscape trials were treated at 2-wk intervals with a total of 4 applications. The products were applied to both upper and lower leaf surfaces to runoff using a low pressure, hand-held sprayer. Five individual plants grown in 4- or 5-inch pots were used for each treatment rate. Phytotoxicity evaluations were made approximately one wk after the final treatment application.
