Whitefly-free tomato plants were placed in a greenhouse containing an SPW established culture on potted tomato plants. Adjacent plants were agitated for immediate movement of adults to the treated plants. After an oviposition period of 24 h, plants and adults were removed and excluded. After caging plants for 10 d., leaves with young nymphs were dipped in three concentrations of insecticides and placed individually in 20 ml glass vials anchored in the bottom center of 0.9 liter clear plastic cup-cages. Nymphs were examined at 4 d for mortality. The experiment was conducted at 25 ± 2°C, RH 70 ± 5%, and L:D 14:10.
