In this work we consider minimally-coupled boson stars immersed in a tidalenvironment and compute their tidal deformability to leading order. We alsodescribe an approximate correspondence between Newtonian boson starconfigurations (described by the Schr\"{o}dinger-Poisson equations) anddynamical dark matter clumps (described by the collisionless Boltzmannequation). This allows us to map our results for the tidal deformability ofboson stars to approximate statements for dark matter clumps.
