We obtain analytic expressions for the energy and polar-angle doubledifferential distributions of a secondary lepton l+ (l-) arising from the decayof t (tbar) in e+e- -> t tbar with an anomalous tbW decay vertex. We alsoobtain analytic expressions for the various differential cross sections withthe lepton energy integrated over. In this case, we find that the angulardistributions of the secondary lepton do not depend on the anomalous couplingin the decay, regardless of possible anomalous couplings occurring in theproduction amplitude for e+e- -> t tbar. Our study includes the effect oflongitudinal e- and e+ beam polarization. We also study the lepton energy andbeam polarization dependence of certain CP-violating lepton angular asymmetriesarising from an anomalous tbW decay vertex and compare them with theasymmetries arising due to CP violation in the production process due to thetop electric or weak dipole moment.Comment: 31 pages, latex, including 15 figures, revised version with minor  changes and corrections to appear in Pramana - Journal of Physic
