The paper by Dr. Andrew J. J. MacIntosh, (with Dr. Alexander D. Hernandez and Dr. Michael A. Huffman) titled ‘‘Host age, sex, and reproductive seasonality affect nematode parasitism in wild Japanese macaques’’ (MacIntosh et al. 2010) was the most frequently cited of the papers published in Primates between 2010 and 2011. His work thus contributed greatly to enhancing the reputation of our journal. For this achievement, Dr. MacIntosh will receive gifts from the Japan Monkey Centre, the Primate Society of Japan, and Springer.
