Part III: Sustainable ServicesInternational audienceThere are two ways for a taxi company to get customers. One is todeliver taxi for a telephone request, and the other is to getcustomers on street. In previous research we researchedrearrangement method of the taxi drivers working hours so as tooperate many taxis with many telephone requests for the formermethod. In this paper, we propose optimum allocation method ofstandby taxi vehicles at taxi stands for the latter method. In orderto minimize the total mileage, fulfilling the taxi demand of all theallocation and maximum number restriction of taxi stands, weformulate this problem as Linear Programming problem. As a result ofnumerical calculation, there are some improving points to change thenumber of standby taxi vehicles at taxi stands, and it turned outthat total mileage may be reducible by 30%
